Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is an interesting work by Robert Louis Stevenson that must be read in order to understand the various layers of meanings that are hidden behind the plot. It is said that writers have often taken help of science to resolve the conflicts and give an ending to the magical events. In this text this was done once again to highlight the two opposing views about science, one being the idea about supernatural and the other being the idea about presenting logic. The two identities of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde stands in sharp contrast to each other because Dr. Jekyll has been portrayed as the one supporting science whereas Mr. Hyde is all about the supernatural.
